Lake Conestee NATURE PARK RULES & SAFETY
Welcome to Lake Conestee Nature Park. Some areas of this unique facility lay over ground and lakebed that has been injured by decades of human activities. We can all help Nature continue her healing processes by carefully reading and observing the following rules:
- Observe all warning and “Do Not Enter” signs.
- Be alert for snakes, poison ivy, and other natural hazards.

- In case of an emergency call “911” for first responder assistance. Otherwise, call loudly for help.
- Amplified music, alcoholic beverages, trash, fires, camping, hunting, firearms, bows & arrows, pellet guns, and motorized vehicles of any kind (except for wheelchairs) are prohibited
- Dogs must be kept on a leash and are not allowed into the water or wetland areas.
- Stay on designated paths and boardwalks. Entering wetlands, lake, and streams is prohibited.
- Do not disturb trees, plants, animals or beaver dams.
- Bicycles are permitted, except where prohibited, but must stay on defined trails, give way to walkers, and be walked over boardwalks.
- The park is open from sunrise to sunset. It is the visitors’ responsibility to return to the parking lot before the gates are locked.
